Comedy Queen Ai-Ai Delas Alas renews contract with GMA Network

Ai-Ai Delas Alas remains a Kapuso as she renewed her contract with GMA Network on Monday.

"Dito naman talaga ako nag-start, parang coming home ulit, at syempre mahal din naman nila ako, binibigyan nila ako ng work, so I'll stay," Delas Alas said.

The renewal extends the Comedy Concert Queen's two-year comeback, starring in and hosting some of the network's highest-rating programs.

Ai-ai's renewal came a month before the second Anniversary of “Sunday PinaSaya,” GMA 7's Sunday noontime comedy show which she co-hosts.

“Second Anniversary na po namin kaya lalong maraming maraming salamat po dahil inabot na namin ang aming ikalawang taon," Delas Alas said.

"Sana ay maraming taon ko parin namin kayong makakasama sa Sunday PinaSaya, more years to come!" she mused.

Present at the signing were GMA Network chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, SVP for Entertainment Lilybeth Rasonable along with other GMA executives.

“Si Ai-Ai ang tinatawag na balik-bayan, and alam naman niya kung nasaan ang puso niya dahil natikman na 'yung dalawang taon,” said Gozon. 

“The feeling is mutual," Rasonable said. "Mahal natin si Ai-Ai and we still want to continue working with her because she is a well rounded actress, not only in comedy,"

"She can sing, she can dance, she can do concerts, now she has also proven that she can also be a dramatic actress," she added.

Delas Alas also revealed she was working on another collaboration with Vic "Bossing" Sotto, which she said would could come out later this year. — LA, GMA News
