Why Mark Herras won't join Winwyn Marquez at Reina Hispanoamericana pageant

Kapuso actress Winwyn Marquez will fly to Bolivia on Tuesday to vie for the prestigious Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 crown.

But like many of her supporters, her boyfriend Mark Herras will only be watching from the Philippines as Winwyn becomes the first Filipina and the first Asian to join the pageant.

Work is not the only reason why Mark is staying behind in the Philippines.

During her send-off in Annabel's restaurant on Wednesday, Winwyn admitted she might lose her focus if Mark was there with her.

"Unang-una mahal ang pamasahe...I don't want him to spend that much. Mawawala yung focus ko eh. Kung alam kong nandun siya iisipin ko anong ginagawa niya, kumain na ba siya, ganon. OK lang na hindi siya pupunta. He has a show, so OK na yun," she said, adding that she wants to focus on herself during the pageant.

The Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 coronation night will be on November 4.

Winwyn's brother and aunt will be with her during her events in Bolivia.

They will also take the opportunity to tour Santa Cruz and La Paz. —JST, GMA News
