Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo talk 'Thor: Ragnarok' with Lyn Ching

Marvel's Thor and Bruce Banner (aka The Hulk) have returned to the big screen for more action and less anger — at least according to the actors that play them.

In "Thor: Ragnarok," Mark Ruffalo said that he got to play around with his character, the Hulk.

"It's so nice to be able to get to play with him a little bit, when he's not just angry," Ruffalo said during an interview with GMA News' Lyn Ching.

"He's like a 7-year-old. He speaks, he has a point of view, he has a point of view about Banner," he added.

Thor, meanwhile, comes back with a haircut. Actor Chris Hemsworth said that the new look reinvented his character.

"The whole idea to sort of reinvent the character started with the look of Thor. Cutting his hair tells the audience this is a different Thor, you haven't seen this before. Get ready for something different, exciting, and new, and fresh," he said.

Director Taika Waititi said that he wanted to evolve the characters, and develop the duality of Bruce Banner.

"Every time these movies get made, you want to change things up, you want to evolve the characters," Waititi said.

"For Hulk, we wanted to see the development of the duality of Bruce and Hulk, together in the same body, fighting over the same body," he added.
