Gabbi Garcia courteously explains why she missed the 'Sherlock Jr.' presscon

Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia was noticeably absent at the "Sherlock Jr." press conference on Monday, January 22, and some netizens criticized her for it.

Addressing a basher on Twitter, Gabbi courteously explained the cause of her absence: she was confined at the hospital on the same day as the presscon.

She posted a photo of herself confined in the hospital getting dextrose, in the caption she wrote a reply to @staceslays, "Eto po ah. Sorry po, wala po ako sa presscon dahil naka confine ako."

The basher's Twitter account was set to private and the tweet against Gabbi can no longer be viewed as of this writing.

One of her fans' tweets showed more photos of Gabbi at the hospital, and in the caption, communicated the message of Gabbi's handler: The Millennial It Girl was diagnosed with severe kidney infection.

Twitter user @gabbified wrote, "Why is Gabbi not present at the Sherlock Jr Presscon? Gabbi was on her way to the presscon when she felt pain at her back. She's now admitted at the hospital and was diagnosed with severe kidney infection. by: G handler. Get well soon ate girl!"
