Diego Loyzaga clarifies Boracay photo taken months ago
Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu on Saturday said he will order an investigation into the actor Diego Loyzaga’s Boracay photos posted on Instagram.
A 24 Oras report said Loyzaga, son of Trousim Promotions Board chief operating officer Cesar Montano, posted a photo of him and two friends in Boracay.
The report said one comment on the post reminded Loyzaga that the island had been closed to tourists, to which the actor replied that they are "locals."
After several negative comments, Loyzaga explained in a separate Instagram post that the particular photo was taken months ago.
"These photos were taken months ago. I only posted to show appreciation to my two friends who are in the photo with me," Loyzaga said.
"I meant no disrespect to Boracay, the people living there and its current state. I know whats going on there. We have land there. We have lots of friends who are owners of businesses etc in Boracay," he added. —ALG, GMA News
