#MotherLilyat80: A star-studded affair with surprise performances from the celebrant

Happy birthday Mother Lily!

The Regal Films matriarch Mother Lily had a grand party at the Crown Plaza in Ortigas to celebrate her 80th birthday, and as expected, a constellation of stars came in droves to greet the starmaker.

Kapuso artists Primetime King and Queen Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, Jak Roberto and Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, Derrek Montesario, Ken Chan, Mark Herras, and Win Marquez rubbed elbows with GMA executives including Chief Finance Officer Felipe Yalong, Senior VP for Entertainment Lilibeth Rasonable and Acquisition Head Joey Abacan.

Politicians like Imelda Marcos, Senators Francis Pangilinan and Jinggoy Estrada and former Presidents Joseph Estrada and Noynoy Aquino were also present, as showbiz royalty  Vilma Santos, Sharon Cuneta, Maricel Soriano, Chito Roño, and Antonio Tuviera.

 

Kapuso royalties Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera are also here tonight at Mother Lily’s 80th birthday celebration. ??

But while the guest list was practically a show unto itself — Vilma and son Luis’ ex-girlfriend Angel Locsin had a delightful encounter — the one to watch, really, was Mother Lily. She gave a surprise dance and piano numbers much to everybody’s delight.
