Sheena Halili talks about wedding preps, says it might happen late 2019 to early 2020

Kapuso star Sheena Halili on Tuesday talked about preparing for her upcoming wedding, explaining that she and fiance Jeron Manzanero are still in the middle of looking for the perfect date and venue.

"Sabi nila malalaman mo 'yong perfect venue, tatalon daw 'yong heart mo eh, so hinahanap ko 'yon," she said at the press conference of Metro Manila Film Festival entry "The Girl in the Organe Dress."

Sheena shared that she and fiance Jeron already have a list of people for their entourage and wedding godparents.

"May i-ilang ninong and ninong na pero wala pa rin kaming definite date and kasi hinahanap ko pa 'yong perfect venue," Sheena said, adding that she wanted to personally invite the entourage and godparents after she has finalized everything.

"May mga friends na hindi ko na sinasabihan na 'hoy invited ka.' Alam na nila sa heart nila na part sila n'on. Pero siyempre, may mga friends ako na gusto ko imbitahan ng personal, lalo na ang mga ninongs and ninangs."

Sheena added that choosing their godparents are important since they will be their role models in marriage.

The bride-to-be revealed that her entourage will mostly come from her showbiz circle.

"Madaming showbiz friends. Maraming friends si Jeron so dapat ko talagang tapatan 'yong entourage."

Sheena said her fiance wanted their wedding to happen in February 2019, but she said she needed more time for the preparations.

"Siyempre 'yong mga friends and family gusto ko magkaron din sila ng lalo na may family kami na wala dito sa Pilipinas, so gusto ko makaprepare sila for the date para makapag-leave sila sa work."

"Ayokong madiliin, ayokong i-rush 'yong sarili ko, andito na rin naman eh, minsan lang 'to darating sa buhay ko, sa buhay niya, sa buhay ng pamilya ko, so gusto ko lahat magaan, gusto ko lahat pulido," she added.

Sheena said she's already considering a design for her gown.

"Gown, alam ko months pa 'yan bago matapos, ginagawa, may mga kino-consider na ako, meron na akong design ng gown ko," Sheena said.

The actor said that she asks help and wedding prep tips from her friends who already got married.

"Nalalapitan ko naman sila lalo na 'yong mga kinasal na, so ano 'yong mga tips niyo, may nag-send din sakin ng isang friend ko nung list niya na mga kailangan  para wala akong kalimutan so 'yon, siguro, mas nalalapitan ko 'yong mga friends ko na kinasal na."

Sheena and her fiance Jeron got engaged on August 2018.

Sheena will be starring as one of the cast of "The Girl in the Orange Dress," this will be her first MMFF film. — LA, GMA News
