Rita Daniela says goodbye to her 'My Special Tatay' character Aubrey
And so "My Special Tatay" has come to pass.
The surprise TV hit aired for the last time last Friday, March 29.
While Ken Chan’s goodbye has been well-documented on social media, Rita Daniela has been quiet — until last week.
She first posted a tribute — a short but sweet goodbye — to Boyet, the character Ken Chan has successfully played. “What a beautiful journey with you, Boyet,” she began, ending it with a hopeful “hanggang sa muli.”
In a separate post, Rita wrote about playing Aubrey, and how she has “changed my life. I will never ever forget you,” Rita said.
She enumerated all the ways playing Aubrey has changed her and changed her career, showing us that the role really was more than just a job. Read it below:
Because of you, there’s a lot of doors that opened for me. Because of you, you showed how women should be treated in spite and despite of anything. Because of you, you have taught the people to love passionately and unconditionally. Aubrey, you changed my life. I will never ever forget you. You’ll always have a space in my heart. Thank you for this journey.
No matter: Fans and still have their fill of Rita and Ken during their concert in May and for those in the US, then they will be bringing the goodness to America! — LA, GMA News
