Tyra Banks interviews Catriona Gray for V Magazine feature

The universe has finally aligned: Catriona Gray has been interviewed for a magazine feature by none other than Tyra Banks.

After impressing the supermodel with her slow-motion twirl, Catriona got to speak with Tyra through a phone interview for American fashion magazine, V Magazine.

Catriona dropped the bomb in her Instagram.

"Flooding my feed cause I'm super giddy! It's been so hard keeping [quiet] about this!! Definitely a pinch-me moment!" she said in a post.

In another post, Catriona described Tyra as a "humble and empowering woman."

"Speaking with @tyrabanks, (once I overcame my major fan-girling) she resonated as such a humble and empowering woman to me. She shared with me her term #Flawsome - seeing perceived flaws as beauty, uniqueness and strength," she said.

Tyra had first expressed her awe at Catriona's show-stopping performance for the 67th Miss Universe preliminary competition, particularly the slow-motion twirl that sent the internet into a frenzy.

After Catriona won the Miss Universe 2018 crown, the top model posted in Instagram that she's "still obsessing" over Catriona's spin, her fierce walk, and coronation.

In fact, it was Cat's lava walk that Tyra first brought up during their interview.

"I’m still recovering from your 'Lava Walk at the Miss Universe pageant. I just kept watching and rewatching, like, What’s her secret? I was totally fangirling!" she told Catriona.

Catriona also talked about her work with Young Focus Philippines, the charity that she works with in Tondo.

Tyra's interview with Catriona is part of the magazine's Music issue this April.
