Vilma Santos leads in her bid in Batangas

The Star for all Seasons Vilma Santos ran for Sixth District representative in the province of Batangas, and as of 12pm, she is leading with 87,932 votes. Her opponent Meyanrd Sabili only has 55, 646 votes.

It's a different story for her ex-husband Edu Manzano, who ran for a congressional seat in San Juan City.

Edu earned 23,637 votes while his opponent Ronny Zamora drew in 35,386 votes.

The Star of All Seasons has been on a winning streak since she entered the politics in 1998. She was Lipa City mayor for three terms from 1998 to 2007.

Just like her ex-wife Vilma, Edu is no stranger to the politics as well; he ran and won as Makati City's vice mayor in 1998.

In 2001, he ran as Makati City's mayor but lost to Jejomar Binay.

In 2010, he ran for vice president along with his partner presidential candidate Gibo Teodoro, and lost again to Binay who then sat as the vice president.

In 2016, Manzano ran in the senatorial race but lost. — LA, GMA News
