Kathryn Bernardo on doing a project with GMA: ‘Okay po sa 'kin kung papayagan nila’

Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards were a picture of optimism at the grand press conference of the highly anticipated movie "Hello, Love, Goodbye."

The actors believe their upcoming movie is a testament that collaborating on a project can be done, despite belonging to different networks.

“Masaya kami ni Alden dahil parang nakikita namin dito sa movie na parang nawala ‘yong [divide] ng Kapuso at Kapamilya,” Kathryn told the press, adding she and the Kapuso actor were happy to see their respective networks collaborate for the movie.

When asked if she would be willing to work on a project with GMA, Kathryn was positive.

“Ako, okay po sa 'kin kung payagan po nila. I would love to cross over,” Kathryn said.

Meanwhile, Alden said he is thankful to his home network GMA for allowing him to do the project.

“Of course I’m super thankful din to GMA kasi medyo ang haba ng proseso bago naging ganito,” Kathryn said.

Alden shared one conversation he had with Direk Cathy as they did an interview at the movie's story conference.

“We were being interviewed by the TV crew. Nung nakita ni direk na magkatabi ‘yong mic ng GMA [at ABS CBN] sabi niya, 'ay pwede pala',” Alden narrated.

The Kapuso actor said Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina hopes their film will establish more collaborations between the two networks.

“Sabi niya sana ito yung start ng collaboration ng different networks, ng different artists, actors — na sa isang project magsama and to be able to tell a good story,” Alden said.

“Hello, Love, Goodbye” opens on cinemas on July 31. The movie is also starring Lovely Abella, Joross Gamboa, Kakai Bautista, Maymay Entrata, Jameson Blake and Jefferey Tam. — LA, GMA News
