Benjamin Alves says he almost fell down when Sanya Lopez slapped him in 'Dahil sa Pag-ibig'
Benjamin Alves on Friday admitted that he almost fell after Sanya Lopez slapped him the face for a scene in the teleserye "Dahil sa Pag-ibig."
Interviewed after the GMA Network Excellence Award Ceremony, Benjamin said the scene that aired on July 16 was one of the biggest build up of the show since Sanya's character, Mariel, was finally able to release all the anger she's been keeping.
Mariel (Sanya Lopez) finally found out about the affair between her husband, Eldon (Benjamin Alves) and Portia (Winwyn Marquez).
"Nabigyan niya ng justice 'yung scene na yun. Nilabas niya lahat ng galit niya at alam ko po 'yun kasi naramdaman ko galit niya," Benjamin joked.
"Di natin puwedeng kalimutan na isang sangre si Sanya. Siya 'yung warrior sa kanila so naramdaman ko si Danaya," Benjamin said. "And she boxes pa!"
The only request Benjamin asked from her is that she doesn't close her fists when she slaps him during the takes.
"I remember a slap wherein she did and I almost fell down kasi solid talaga yung sampal niya," the Kapuso actor said.
In an Instagram post, Benjamin joked and said, "Ilan ba sampal ni Mariel sakin? At bakit wala nako nararamdanan sa pisngi ko? Teka, sino ako?
Ano pangalan ko?"
Benjamin admitted that his face became swollen after the slap and had to immediately put ice on it.
