Jasmine Curtis-Smith shows the painstaking process of having a facial prosthetic mold done
Jasmine Curtis-Smith is in the middle of filming “Culion,” a movie about three leper patients living in 1940s Culion.
And because leprosy is a factor, the Kapuso celebrity, alongside her movie co-stars Meryll Soriano and Iza Calzado, had to get facial prosthetics.
On Instagram, Jasmine showed how difficult the process was by sharing a video of herself getting a mold done. According to Jasmine, “the prosthetics team decided to make a model out of our faces so they could measure all needed prosthetics without having to do it directly on our faces while in trial.”
It required sitting still and getting mounds of plaster on her face all the way to her neck, shoulders, and chest.
While the mixture felt good on the skin, Jasmine revealed she started to semi-panic breathe — with just two small holes near her nose — in the middle of it all.
At one point, the plaster became too heavy, someone actually had to hold her head for support.
Jasmine made it look easy, even taking a nap while it was all being done, which we think is a real mark of professionalism!
