'Spider-Man' actor Jacob Batalon reveals he got a special gift from Stan Lee

Fil-Am actor Jacob Batalon, who played Peter Parker's best friend Ned Leeds in two Spider-Man movies, still treasures a special gift that was given to him by none other than Stan Lee himself.

"When I first met him, he gave me the first comic book where Ned Leeds appeared in the Amazing Spider-Man story art," the actor told GMA's Luane Dy in a one-on-one interview aired on Unang Hirit.

The legendary Marvel Comics creator passed away last November at the age of 95.

Jacob said the comic book is safely kept in his apartment.

"I keep that with me all the time. It's, like, framed in my apartment," said the actor.

Jacob's character, Ned, first appeared in the 2017 blockbuster "Spider-Man Homecoming," and was reprised later in the 2019 sequel "Spider-Man: Far from Home."

The actor, whose family is from Pangasinan, is also a real-life best bros with English actor Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
