Divine Tetay on GMA career, working with Alden, Jean Garcia on ‘The Gift’: 'I’m just so grateful’

Divine Tetay officially signed a contract with GMA Artist Center on Thursday.

The comedian cracked a lot of jokes during the contract signing, but was serious in expressing gratitude for the opportunities that came his way.

According to Tetay, GMA Network has played a big role in his career as a comedian, helping him hone his skills to this day.

“Everyday, you learn something. You just keep on taking care of your craft lang. So, with regards to ‘yung pagiging (kong) comedian, ‘yung nagawa ng GMA, sobra,” he said.

Tetay is currently part of GMA-7’s new drama series "The Gift."

The comedian said he always wanted to work with the likes of Jean Garcia, who plays Nadia on the show.

“Alam mo ‘yung mga tinitingalaan mong mga artista, talagang nakakatrabaho mo? I’m just so grateful na nabibigyan ako ng chance to work with them.”

Tetay was also thankful to work with Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards, who he gets to hang out with off screen.

The comedian shared that the more he got to know Alden, the less he understood his bashers.

“You cannot avoid it na there are people na they will say bad things about him, so parang it just breaks my heart,” Tetay said.

“But if only they knew how nice Alden is, sobra,” he added.
