Betong Sumaya reminisces 'Survivor' days: 'Parang hinubaran ka ng pagkatao'

Comedian and Survivor Philippines' Season Four winner Albert "Betong" Sumaya reminisced how his life was after he joined the legendary show in 2011.

During Tuesday's press conference for his concert "Betong's Amazing Concert: Try ko Lang Ha?" he said, "Di ba, nakahubad na kami ng pangitaas. Parang hinubaran ka talaga ng pagkatao."

"Matutulog ka nang umuulan, gigising ka nang umuulan, so parang basa po talaga," he added. "Tinest niya talaga 'yung hangganan mo."

He said that whatever clothes they wore when they entered the contest, those were also the only clothes they wore throughout the 36 days they stayed in San Vicente, Palawan.

He admitted that the show taught him to appreciate the small things that he sometimes took for granted.

He said, "Ngayon ayaw mo na magtira ng kain sa pinggan," he said. "Maa-appreciate mo family mo, na 'pag matagal kang nawala, kung gaano sila ka-importante."

Other celebrities he was with during Survivor season 4 were Maey Bautista, Ellen Adarna and Stef Prescott. — LA, GMA News
