Gretchen posts reconciliation with mom Inday in response to Marjorie's allegation
Gretchen Barretto has posted a video of her reconciliation with her mother Inday, in apparent response to a television interview given by her estranged sister Marjorie on Tuesday.
The video showed Gretchen sharing a tender moment with her mother at the wake of her father Miguel last week. Also shown in the video were President Rodrigo Duterte, along with Gretchen's sister Claudine, who is also involved in a feud with Marjorie.
"This was a lovely, precious moment , it was about forgiveness, love & a promise to protect our new found mother / daughter relationship. It was a great opportunity to mend all the nasty words thrown to each other," Gretchen wrote.
"This emotion is not the kind to EXPLODE TO A HYSTERICAL STATE as BEING CLAIMED BY MARJORIE ITCH," she added.
The Barretto sisters have been embroiled in a very public feud that has captured the attention of netizens as it played out on social media.
In her television interview on Tuesday, Marjorie called Gretchen's efforts at reconciliation insincere.
She also identified Charlie "Atong" Ang as the source of tension during the wake because of his previous involvement with Nicole Barretto, a niece of Gretchen and Marjorie.
He has denied any romantic involvement with any member of the Barretto family. —JST, GMA News
