Dennis Trillo teaches Jennylyn Mercado how to play the drums

Dennis Trillo taught his long-time girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado how to play the drums in a "Jen Survives" episode online.

In the video released on Tuesday, Jennylyn said that she's taking her passion for music on a whole new level as she learns to play the drum.

"Siyempre sino pa ba ang perfect na magtuturo sa akin nito kung hindi ang ating resident drummer sa Co-Love and my true love (wow!), si Dennis!" she added.

Dennis, in case anybody needs a refresher, used to play the drums for a few bands back in the day. 

The Kapuso actor applauded Jennylyn as she quickly caught up on the beats he taught her, from the most basic to syncopated ones.

According to Jennylyn, she's learning how to play the drums for their next Co-Love session, a vlog series on her YouTube channel where the couple perform songs together. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
