Why Julie Anne's new song with Rico Blanco has a 'controversial' point of view

Julie Anne San Jose's new song with Rico Blanco is a departure from the usual themes of pop radio.

Asia's Pop Diva opened up about the track "Isang Gabi" on Friday, after she signed a new contract with GMA Network.

"Usually kapag gumagawa tayo ng kanta it's always 'Iniwan niya ako, pinagpalit niya ako sa iba.' It's always the point of view ng iniwan, sinaktan. Ano naman kaya point of view ng isang third party?" Julie Anne said.

Explaining the meaning behind the lyrics, Julie Anne said, "Sa isang linggo na kasama mo minamahal mo, isang araw lang, isang gabi lang ang kailangan ko."

However, Julie Anne clarified that the character in their song wasn't a homewrecker of any sort.

"Medyo controversial siya for both of us. It's really something we had to think about. Hindi talaga siya biro. We're not trying to encourage," she said.

She added, "Pero at the end of the day lahat naman tayo nagmamaghal. Minsan hindi naman natin maiiwasan na maipit sa isang sitwasyon na hindi naman natin gusto."
