How Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Ruru Madrid got 'familiar' with each other for 'Cara x Jagger'

Kapuso actors Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Ruru Madrid are the stars of a new film "Cara x Jagger," but it seems like things between the two were actually quite sweet off-cam. 

During their short guesting on GMA-7's morning show "Unang Hirit," Jasmine said it's been "really good" and "fun" to work with Ruru on set.

"Cara x Jagger" is their first project together and Jasmine revealed that she and Ruru had to "familiarize" themselves with one another in order to convincingly play two people with a rich past.

"For familiarity. Lalo na kapagka gagawa kayo ng mga intimate scenes, though hindi naman intimate 'yung romance namin in the film, para lang...'yung makita mo na para ba kami talagang may history," Jasmine said.

"Kasi importante na maramdaman yan ng mga manonood pag ka pinanuod nila 'yung pelikula namin."

Ruru added, "'Yun 'yung mahirap: Kasi mag-ex na kami, so kailangan may baggage, kumbaga may nabuo nang history."

Truly, moving on after a relationship is never an easy feat.

Jasmine and Ruru promise to channel some of that heartbreak in the  "Cara X Jagger" premieres nationwide on November 6. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
