Carmina Villarroel to star in MMFF 2019's one and only horror flick

Attention, horror lovers!

Carmina Villaroel is expected to give a thrilling performance in the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival's one and only horror flick "Sunod."

According to a report on 24 Oras, "Sunod" is about a working mother who has a frightening encounter with a mysterious spirit — and it looks absolutely terrifying.

"Kasi 'yung anak ko dito, maysakit to the point na parang she's dying. I have to look for a job. Napunta ako sa call center and then from there, du'n na mangyayari 'yung mga hindi kanais-nais," Carmina said in an interview.

The Kapuso actress is delighted to work with the likes of Mylene Dizon, Susan Africa, JC Santos, Kate Alejandrino, Krystal Brimner and Rhed Bustamante on the movie.

Carmina is also happy to still be able to spend time with her family despite her busy schedule.

"Before Christmas, aalis lang kami. So may konting pahinga lang ako. Siguro mga five days, five days but I'll be back for the parade," she said.
