Carla Abellana experiences medical emergency in Japan

Carla Abellana just went on a lovely Osaka trip with her family and boyfriend Tom Rodriguez for the holidays.

But, in her latest vlog, the Kapuso actress revealed she and Tom visited at least two different hospitals in Osaka for some unbearable knee pain she experienced.

"So guys nasa ospital ako ngayon... because this morning, hindi nako makalakad sa sakit ng mga tuhod ko for the first time ever, and we know for a fact that its the side effect of the...oral steroid medication I've been taking," she said.

Carla, who was waiting inside the hospital with Tom, explained that the steroids may also be to blame for the swelling she's been experiencing.

"Namamga na rin 'yung mukha ko, sobrang laki na rin ng tiyan ko. Para akong buntis," she said.

But the actress clarified: "Namamaga lahat dahil sa steroids  -- effect 'yun ng steroids for my asthma."

"But thank goodness for Tom! Sinasamahan ako ni Tom everywhere," Carla added. —Margaret Claire Layug/KBK, GMA News
