Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez's talk about their misadventures in Japan

Although this is Kapuso couple Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez's second visit in Japan, their holiday trip this year proved to be a memorable one as they experienced detours and misadventures along the way.

In Aubrey Carampel's Chikaminute report in 24 Oras, the "My Husband's Lover" co-stars and their family visited Osaka region and partook of some ramen.

They hadn't spent much time yet in Japan when Tom accidentally left a backpack with their passports and gadgets inside a train station, according to Carla's latest vlog.

"Wala na rito kinakabahan ako," Tom said, as he and Carla were seen retracing their steps back.

A bit later, their backpack was returned by a Japanese passenger.

"Pagpunta ko sa may office sabi ko where’s lost and found? Oh kure, kure bag. Yes, yes please," Tom recalled.

After they found the backpack, the Kapuso couple visited Universal Studios where they visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and rode the iconic Jaws Ride.

In her vlog, Carla was seen wearing a face mask because she had caught a cold. Three days later, she was rushed to the hospital because her knees were painful.

"So guys nasa ospital ako ngayon... because this morning, hindi nako makalakad sa sakit ng mga tuhod ko for the first time ever, and we know for a fact that it's the side effect of the...oral steroid medication I've been taking," she said.

She admitted that they had a hard time looking for a hospital because of the language barrier. Fortunately, they had a Japanese friend who helped them out.

Soon, they found out that the oral steroids she was taking for her asthma were the cause of the swelling in her knees.

Carla and Tom's holiday in Osaka was definitely an unforgettable one. In the end, Carla thanked her boyfriend for always taking care of her during their adventures and misadventures.

In 2020, fans of "TomCar" can expect their appearance in the Kapuso Primetime Series "Love of My Life." They will be joined by other Kapuso stars such as Rhian Ramos, Mikael Daez and Coney Reyes. — Angelica Y. Yang/BAP, GMA News
