Kapuso celebs welcome 2020 with fun-filled, energetic performances for fans


Kapuso celebrities welcomed the new decade with energetic, entertaining, and fun-filled song and dance performances during the "Kapuso Countdown to 2020: The GMA New Year Special" on Tuesday evening. 

Scores of supporters and fans flocked to SM Mall of Asia, Seaside Boulevard at Pasay City, to watch the network's annual event which featured a star-studded list of GMA-7 celebrities, influencers, and artists.

Here are some of the Kapuso stars who made the countdown a night to remember::

Alden Richards, "Asia’s Multimedia Star" and “The Gift” lead actor surprised fans with a cover of Liam Payne's "Strip That Down For Me."

Richards was also a host during the countdown.

 

 

 

 

Julie Anne San Jose and Kyline Alcantara were also present.

 

 

Julie, GMA's powerhouse vocalist and Asia's Pop Diva, performed in a K-Pop production with Kyline. The two danced to the song, "Solo" by Jennie from BlackPink.

Julie and Kylie joined Alden as hosts for the countdown.

Also present was Aicelle Santos, who wore a fashionable white outfit, and belted out a duet with Mark Bautista.

 

 

Starstruck Finalists Allen Ansay and Lexi Gonzales

The First Prince and First Princess of Starstruck Season 7 wore matching yellow and black outfits during their performance.

 

 

Aicelle Santos and Thea Astley, dressed in glittering red gowns, delivered a powerhouse performance during the program.

 

 

Mark Bautista performed during the countdown and wished for peace for the entire country, more blessings for Kapuso supporters and more breakthroughs.

Kim de Leon and Shayne Sava were dressed in yellow, red and blue outfits, "Starstruck" Ultimate Male and Female survivors Kim de Leon and Shayne Sava graced the countdown program on Tuesday.

 

 

Golden Canedo was stunning!

The Clash 2018 champion performed a powerful song number. She also shared her New Year's wish as she voiced hoped to be able to "give her all" to her fans and explore more opportunities this 2020.

 

 

GMA Artist Katrina Halili sizzled as she performed in a dance number featuring the song "Senorita."
