Kapuso celebrities share reflections as they say goodbye to 2019

As we welcome in the new year, our Kapuso celebrities reflected on the year that was and shared on social media the multiple lessons 2019 had taught them.

Kyline Alcantara, for example, shared on Instagram, Wednesday, that 2019 was a tough one on her since this was the time she thought she was alone, but later on, the year made her realize that she is in fact surrounded by loved ones.

She continued, "And the biggest life lesson that I learned is it's okay for things to change. Because that is the only consistent thing in our lives. So we need to accept it, adapt to it and slay it!"

Phew, 2019 you're a tough one. You taught me a lot, gurl! You made me realize that it's okay to show who you really are, it's okay to show your weaknesses , its okay to show your strengths, it's okay to be down, it's okay for people to leave you, it's okay to feel pain. And the biggest life lesson that I learned is it's okay for things to change. Because that is the only consistent thing in our lives. So we need to accept it, adapt to it and slay it! ? Honestly, in 2019 I thought i was alone, Fought so many silent battles that i had to wipe my own tears and give myself a pat on the back. But then, 2019 made me realize that i have my family, friends, reunited with some old friends, met some new friends, my Sunflowers and most especially God!!! ? 2019 was a roller coaster ride. God made me stronger, and i thank him so much for that. Thank you, 2019. Now I'm dang ready for 2020!!!???? I'm ready to face all of the battles that God will give me. I will stand tall, because i know that i am not alone. I'm ready for all the blessings, I will cherish every single thing. GAME ON, 2020! Lez gooo!!!??? (I have so many videos pa, but may limit so hehe. Mine na muna hihi)

Carla Abellana, on the other hand, said, "Goodbye to a year that broke me psychologically, emotionally and physically. To say that it was tough is an understatement."

The actress shared on Instagram, Tuesday, that she fought so many quiet battles and by God's grace she continues to stand and face the year ahead.

Meanwhile, singer Julie Anne San Jose took the time to say thank you for all of the blessings that came her way in 2019.

On Instagram, Tuesday, she wrote, "My path has become clearer as I have learned through trial and error who I am and what I want; with courage, resilience, hardwork, patience and a great amount of faith – although I’m still a work in progress – I have learned to cultivate myself in every aspect of my life, (especially in a personal aspect), and I couldn’t have done all this without our Lord God."

Every New Year’s Eve for the past years, I usually write out my goals for the next one. 2019, feels different for many reasons; rather than creating more resolutions and “doing” by setting goals, I have reflected on the things I am grateful for: family/relationships, career/work, health, inner-self and faith; it has surely been an amazing, overall a positive year for me. My path has become clearer as I have learned through trial and error who I am and what I want; with courage, resilience, hardwork, patience and a great amount of faith – although I’m still a work in progress – I have learned to cultivate myself in every aspect of my life, (especially in a personal aspect), and I couldn’t have done all this without our Lord God. I’m so grateful for everything, and for everyone of y’all as well. I am generating nothing but feelings of gratitude and positivity as I open and welome another chapter. A new decade is rising, so... Here’s to more blessings, progress, love and friendships, happiness, and presence in all things because life is going by so fast. Everyday is a gift, my friends. May #2020 be everything you hope and pray it to be. Cheers to more blessings and breakthroughs, to God be the glory! Happy New Year! ??????????
