Piolo Pascual captures photo of Taal volcano eruption on his 43rd birthday

Actor Piolo Pascual was celebrating his 43rd birthday in his Batangas rest house on Sunday, January 12, when the Taal Volcano erupted.

In a photo he posted on Facebook, Piolo can be seen on top of a yacht, basking under the sun as the volcano erupted and spewed out dark gray steam plume in the background.

He wrote, "My birthday wish right now is for everyone to be safe."

Activity over Taal Volcano is still on alert level 4 with a possible hazardous eruption to happen anytime soon.

According to PHIVOLCS, heavy ashfall was felt in Lemery, Talisay, Taal and Cuenca, Batangas.

On Tuesday afternoon, fissures were spotted in several towns in Batangas, which PHIVOLCS said sometimes became degassing vents which may emit steam or other chemical compounds. 

Pascual was just one of several celebrities who were in the vicinity of Taal when it erupted on Sunday.
