Hello everyone. As soon as I heard the news yesterday, I have decided to do a self-quarantine until I get tested. It makes me sad that I won’t be able to see my own family, probinsyano family and friends as of the moment. But we have to be proactive! - Stay safe, drink vitamin C, boost your immune system, drink lots of water and rest. ?????????? _ I’ll keep myself busy by finishing all my books or start my new koreanovela, Itaewon Class.???? —————————————————————————- FINAL STATEMENT Statement from Senator Win Gatchalian I have recently been informed that a resource person who attended the hearing of the Committee on Basic Education, Arts and Culture last March 5, 2020, which I Chair, has tested positive for COVID-19. Though I am asymptomatic and feel healthy, I will follow government set protocols on such cases and go into self-quarantine immediately given that I interacted with the said individual during that committee hearing. I instructed all my staff to do the same especially those who had direct contact with the said person too.

In a statement on Wednesday, Gatchalian shared that he will be going into self-quarantine since he interacted with a resource person last March 5 who tested positive with COVID-19.

Gatchalian said that he feels completely healthy but have decided to follow the government's protocol.

Bianca herself felt sad about her quarantine since she won't be able to see her own family and friends, but she reminded her followers to always stay safe and boost their immune systems.

"I’ll keep myself busy by finishing all my books or start my new koreanovela, Itaewon Class," she said.

On Thursday, Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri confirmed that the first Filipino who died due to the ongoing outbreak was the spouse of the resource person who attended the Senate hearing. —Kaela Malig/MGP, GMA News
