Neri Miranda sends food, coffee to ‘heroes’ of Tagaytay Medical Center

Neri Miranda wants health workers in Tagaytay to know that all their hard work battling the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is very much appreciated.

In an Instagram post on Monday, the actress, who runs a restaurant in the city said she packed “800 rolls of spanish bread and 800 coffee sachets para sa lahat ng mga bayani natin sa Tagaytay Medical Center.”

“Gusto lang namin talaga na iparamdam sa kanila kung gaano namin naa-appreciate yung ginagawa nila at sana sa ganitong paraan ay mapangiti namin sila inspite ng nararamdaman nilang pagod, puyat, at pangamba,” she wrote.

“Maraming maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nagtatrabaho sa lahat ng ospital lalo na po sa mga panahon na eto. Bayani po talaga kayo,” she added.

Tagaytay, along with other provinces in Luzon, is currently under community quarantine to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Netizens saluted Neri for her kind gesture, including her husband, Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda.

He shared Neri’s post, saying, “Good job, asawa ko. Oo...proud talaga ako sa kanya."

As of Monday, the Philippines has reported 142 COVID-19 cases, including 12 deaths.

Businesses and concerned citizens alike expressed their support and appreciation for the health care workers on the frontlines by sending them food, coffee, medicines, and face masks.
