'Don't go downtown': Vanessa Carlton references 'White Chicks' song to issue important COVID-19 reminder, Terry Crews chimes in

Remember that iconic "making my way downtown" song from the comedy film "White Chicks"?

Well, singer Vanessa Carlton referenced her song — "A Thousand Miles," its called — in issuing an all too important reminder amid the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) situation.

On Twitter, she wrote "Don't go downtown."

"White Chicks" star Terry Crews who starred as Laterell Spencer, a.k.a. the guy who memorized the said song by heart, hilariously replied to Vanessa using another line from the song.

"...but I’m homebound!!!" Terry wrote in a tweet.

To which Vanessa replied, "Ok then for you? Fine"

The tweet has since garnered over 9,000 retweets and over 39.7k likes as of writing. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
