Bianca Umali salutes COVID-19 front liners: ‘You are our heroes’

Like all of us, Bianca Umali is in awe of all the medical staff and other essential workers who have been working tirelessly to fight the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the country.

“To our brave front liners: Maraming maraming salamat sa inyo. We honor your sacrifices and you are our heroes. May god bless you all at mabuhay kayong lahat,” Bianca said in a video message aired on "24 Oras" Monday.

Under the current Luzon-wide quarantine, members of the general public have been required to stay indoors to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the Philippines.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Philippines has reached 501 as of Tuesday morning, along with 33 deaths.

Several Kapuso personalities including Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes and Christian Bautista have joined forces to help raise funds for those affected by the government's efforts to contain the COVID-19. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
