Mika Dela Cruz donates face shields to frontliners battling COVID-19

Mika Dela Cruz is giving back to our frontliners by making and personally delivering face shields to them.

On her Instagram, the Kapuso actress shared her efforts and said she is heartened by the thought that she is helping protecting them as the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) spreads in the country.

"Nakakataba ng puso na kahit sa maliit na paraan naproteksyunan ko sila.. These are face shields po for protection (PPE) ng ating amazing and selfless frontliners na araw araw nakikipagsapalaran para saatin. I just wanted to give back to them in my own little way... salamat po sa sakripisyo ninyo!" she captioned.

She gave away the face shields to security guards, personnel at checkpoints, and even the crew at a Jollibee branch in Malabon.

As of Wednesday, the Philippines has reported 2,311 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 96 deaths, and 50 recoveries.
