Benjamin Alves recommends these 5 K-drama shows to watch while on lockdown

The enhanced community quarantine has definitely increased our pop culture appetite. Suddenly, we need more movies to watch, TV series to follow, books to read, and things to do.

With the ECQ extended for another two weeks — until April 30! — we thought it best to ask several Kapuso artists for their recommendations. First up, Benjamin Alves.

The leading man to upcoming GMA series "Owe My Love" was quick to give his — surprise surprise! — K-drama recommendations. We were more than happy to know what's in his list.

See them below:

1. Itaewon Class

Park Seo Joon kills it in this show; although I'm a Soo-ah bias over YiSeo, ha ha. I want to visit Itaewon and visit their locations. Plus V of BTS Sweet Night is on the OST. I'd say this is the gateway for most guys into K-Drama as it dives less into killing territory and more on other social issues. This is probably my favourite K-drama.

2. Crash Landing On You

The killing is real on this one. Plus it gives us an insight on the humanity in North Koreans. I wept like a baby when SeRi couldn't see solidest at the village anymore.

3. "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim"

The treatment and tone of the show is so light, like a series-long K-pop song. I have to admit, I'm a PSJ bias. He has a lot of nuances here that make him character charming.

4. Coffee Prince

Gotta respect a classic. Before Gong Yoo was Goblin!

5. My Love from The Star

Joon Ji Hyun will forever be bae. I also can't wait for her in Kingdom season 3!
