Baeby Baste's police officer dad recovers from COVID-19, returns to duty

Baeby Baste's father was among the Philippine National Police (PNP) officers who was infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Fortunately, he is now fully recovered and back on the frontlines, as shown on Baste's Instagram.

"Back to work na po si Papa Sol. thank You Lord God. thank you po sa prayers nyo dabarkads. my papa is a FRONTLINER," Baste wrote in a post.

Baeby Baste and his family have been donating care packages to PNP frontliners, including those who contracted COVID-19 and were recovering at the Isolation Ward.

"For our Covid-19 positive PNP Frontliners sa Camp Crame... isa po dun si Papa Sol ko. Kaya po here's a little something for them para malaman nila kahit nasa isolation bldg. po sila, na they are loved and we are thankful for their service," Baste said.

As of April 21, the PNP has reported 77 confirmed COVID-19 cases, three deaths, and 12 recoveries.

The Philippines meanwhile has a total of 6,599 infections, 437 deaths, and 654 recoveries.
