To keep fit, Lovi Poe considers 'hunger hormones' in her diet and workout plans


Ever wonder how Lovi Poe is keeping insanely fit?

The Kapuso actress just shared a "cheat sheet on how to exercise and manage your stress accordingly."

On Instagram, Lovi posted a photo of herself clad in her workout clothes, showing off her fit figure at home and revealed her secret to keeping herself fit and healthy: By "getting in touch with my buddies Leptin and Ghrelin aka the hunger hormones."

Lovi said these hunger hormones are "responsible for suppressing and stimulating your appetite."

In another photo, Lovi shared the difference between the two hormones. Leptin, she says, is the "babysitter" aka the one that tells you that "you've had enough, put that donut down." Leptin originates from the fat cells.

 

 

According to Lovi's post when a person is overweight, they have too much leptin, which makes them resistant to it. Their brain won't get the message when to stop eating when you're full.

Meanwhile, the hormone Ghrelin is considered as the "gremlin," which stimulates the appetite and sends your brain the instant message telling it to "go grab more food" originating from the stomach.

According to Lovi's post, this increases right before meals and decreases after meals.

Overall, sleep deprivation, stress and eating inflammatory foods especially sugar will not help in achieving the right diet.
