Therese Malvar graduates from high school a salutatorian

Therese Malvar just graduated from high school as salutatorian! Congratulations!

Her school didn't throw an actual graduation ceremony, so the Kapuso actress' mom congratulated her daughter with a sweet homemade video shared on Facebook Wednesday.

"Teri Malvar. Salutatorian. Congrats baby girl. You made us proud!" Cherry Malvar wrote in a post.

Therese Malvar began acting at an early age, astonishing audiences with her breakout performance as Anita in the 2013 film “Ang Huling Cha-Cha ni Anita," which was recently streamed online in celebration of Pride Month.

She recently starred in hit Kapuso TV shows “Inagaw na Bituin” and “Beautiful Justice.”

Now she's among many 2020 graduates who had to miss out on a traditional graduation ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nevertheless, finishing high school remains a big feat for Therese who has been attending a regular school in between tapings in the hope of attending a great college. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
