Wendell Ramos performs first duty as a volunteer firefighter
Wendell Ramos just performed his first duty as a volunteer firefighter after responding to a fire in Valenzuela City on Thursday.
According to a "24 Oras" report, the incident occurred in a factory of electric supplies. No one was hurt, but the fire lasted for seven hours and damaged P15 million worth of property.
In an Instagram post, the actor said shared some photos of himself in wearing firefighter gear and said he has "mixed emotions" about his first duty.
"Felt sorry for the people and the community we responded today," he said in the caption, but he added that he was also thankful for the guidance of his colleagues.
Wendell also admitted that he felt fear when he had to respond to the fire, but courage eventually won in the end.
"When you're working as a team and alam mo 'yung mga kasamahan mo hindi ka iiwan, at alam n'yong tama 'yung ginagawa n'yo para may mailigtas kayo, may matigil kayong disaster, gagawin nyo po lahat," he said.
The actor announced on Monday that he is now a certified ABP (Ang Bumbero ng Pilipinas) firefighter. —MGP, GMA News
