’Ang Jowa Kong DDS’: Direk Darryl Yap introduces new online series
Darryl Yap, a.k.a. the director behind the short film “Jowable,” introduced his new project on the official VinCentiments Facebook page, saying it’s a “A story of finger hearts and fist bumps in the midst of crisis in the land of 7,107 Issues.”
The poster shows a man in a yellow shirt carrying a woman who is wearing a red plaid shirt and thrusting her first in the air.
According to the post, the series is set to air “all Sundays of August” at 12 midnight on the VinCentiments Youtube Channel.
In the political sense, DDS has been used to refer to Die-hard Duterte Supporters.
The “fist bump,” on the other hand, is a gesture popularized during the campaign of President Rodrigo Duterte after which he won the 2016 elections.
Meanwhile, yellow is the color used by members or supporter of the Liberal Party of the Philippines or the Aquino political family.
