Iza Calzado spends time with frontliners who took care of her during her COVID-19 battle
Iza Calzado may have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), but she sure hasn't forgotten those who made her recovery possible.
In an Instagram post on Monday, the actress revealed she spent time with the nurses from Asian Hospital, who took care of her while she battled COVID-19.
Sharing a photo of the group as they sported their own masks, Iza wrote, "Allow me to shine the spotlight on my amazing team of nurses (missing a few though!) from Asian Hospital who gave me the best love and care any patient could ever ask for."
"Together with my brilliant doctors, I really couldn’t have asked for a better team to help me fight and beat Covid 19. I am forever grateful," Iza added.
The actress was diagnosed with the disease back in March 28, making her the second celebrity to test positive after Christopher de Leon.
Fortunately, just a few days after her diagnosis, Iza tested negative. After her recovery, she donated some of her blood plasma for the treatment of other COVID-19 patients in critical condition. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
