'Avengers' star Chris Pratt and wife welcome baby girl

Chris Pratt was thrilled to announce that he and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger just welcomed their bundle of joy.

The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star introduced Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt in an Instagram post, with an adorable picture of fingers cradling tiny ones.

We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. We couldn’t be happier. Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed. "We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. We couldn’t be happier. Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed," Chris wrote.

This is the couple's first child together. Pratt also has a seven-year-old son with his first wife, Anna Faris.

Pratt is known for his role as Peter Quill (aka Star Lord) in the Marvel franchise "Guardians of the Galaxy," and he was also a part of the star-studded "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame."
