Fil-Chinese actress Cathy Ang on Julie Anne's cover of 'Rocket to the Moon': 'Amazing!'
Julie Anne San Jose's official cover of "Rocket to the Moon," the theme song of animated movie "Over the Moon," was released to much applause today.
None other than Cathy Ang, the singer of the original version of the song, gave her stamp of approval on Julie's version.
On the Kapuso celebrity's Instagram post about the project, the Fil-Chinese actress left a simple of excited comment: "Ahhhh amazing" complete with multiple exclamation points and heart eyes emoji.

Netflix Philippines debuted Julie Anne's cover version of "Rocket to the Moon" on Thursday with a snazzy video to boot.
Despite recording the whole thing by herself in her home studio, Julie said the most challenging — and the most exciting — part about the project was shooting the video.
"Kailangan ko mag-imagine ng characters so may konting animation. For me iyon yung pinaka-exciting. Medyo challenging din siya kasi I was interacting with imaginary characters. I have to look at certain spots, paano ang movements, lagpas na ba ako sa frame? Green screen lang kasi eh," she said.
Julie Anne describes the whole shoot as chill, with the Netflix crew so nice and accommodating. "They were instructing me, kung ano ang kailangan ko gawin, how to interact with the imaginary characters, kahit wala sila sa set. And when I watched the preview, wow! Ganun pala yun."
"Rocket to the Moon" is the theme song of the Glen Keane-directed animated movie "Over the Moon," a fantastical story about family, love, and loss.
It followed Fei-Fei — also voiced by Cathy Ang — a bright young girl with a passion for science, who builds a rocket ship to the moon to prove the existence of a legendary Moon Goddess.
