Larry King tells Vicky Morales what makes a good interviewer
American television host Larry King has truly left his mark in the media industry after working in the field for 63 years.
Some years ago, the late veteran broadcaster even shared nuggets of wisdom with Kapuso anchor Vicky Morales.
"24 Oras" on Monday aired a video of their exchange, where Larry gave the characteristics of a good interviewer.
"The ability to be curious, the ability to ask short questions and the main thing is the ability to listen. Every good interviewer is a good listener," he said.
He also said he never got nervous when speaking to successful people, because "it's not gonna change the world."
Finally, he said there will be days when an interview won't be in his or her best, but the important thing is to soldier on and try anyway.
"You can't be good every day, but you gotta try to be good every day," he said.
At the end of video, Larry gamely did his live spiel at Vicky's request.
"You're watching Vicky. I'm Larry King. I love this woman."
Larry passed away on Saturday in Los Angeles at 87 years old. According to reports, he was hospitalized due to COVID-19 in the first week of January.
