Filipina actress shares experience with ‘Romantic Doctor 2’ stars

“Romantic Doctor 2” has captured the interest of many Filipinos after its first season’s successful run, but unknown to many, it has also featured a Filipina actress.

In Sunday’s episode of “24 Oras” with Aubrey Carampel, Cherish Maningat shared her experiences with the medical drama’s stars, including Lee Sung-kyung, who played Dr. Emily Cha.

“Nakiki-upo siya sa floor tapos talagang [may] heart [siya] na makipagkwentuhan. Yung mga pinagdaanan ko po noon, kinwento ko sa kanya ta’s nagbibigay siya ng advice,” she said.

Cherish, who has lived in South Korea for the past 14 years, was also able to spend some time with the drama’s lead actor Han Suk-kyu, who plays Dr. Daniel Boo or Master Kim.

“Nagtatanong siya, ‘paano ka nakarating dito sa Korea?’ Kwentuhan lang. Parang ang light-light lang to think na napaka beterano na po niya na aktor,” she said.

According to her, it was a “dream come true” to work with both actors, especially Lee Sung-kyung, who is her idol.
