Celebrities are prone to getting hate comments and Cassy Legaspi is no stranger to that, revealing that she also received death threats.

In a Youtube vlog on Wednesday, Cassy shared how she used to take bashers really seriously in the past.

“I would really take it to heart and act as if they really know me, when they really don’t. That was before because I got my first set of haters, when I was nine,” said the First Yaya mainstay.

“Growing up, eventually, I noticed I get the same hate comments and I even get death threats which is really upsetting. I really hope you don’t do this to anybody else,” she added.

Now that she is more mature, she's learned to focus on the more important things in life, like her loved ones.

“Dati, affected ako. Ngayon, I don’t need them. Why would you focus on the haters? They don’t know you. But your loved ones? They know you,” she said.

She also realized that being able to recognize hate from criticism is important when choosing what to put in mind.

“Sometimes, I come across comments online but I understand they’re just criticisms. I’m all for improvement and getting feedback pero iba na yung ‘panget mo',” she said.

“My gosh, how could you say that? Let’s keep it light here,” she added.

After too many netizens shipped her with Darren Espanto, one fan assumed that Cassy is in love. To which, she replied that she is… with herself.

Cassy launched her Youtube channel in September 2020 with the aim of making her fans know her more. This is her first vlog for the year. — Franchesca Viernes/LA, GMA News
