Here’s Julie Anne San Jose’s reaction to old video of David Licauco saying he wanted to work with her

Once upon a time in 2018, David Licauco revealed in an interview that Julie Anne San Jose was among the actresses he wanted to work with in the future.

Well, his dream finally came true because the two are set to serve a thousand cups of kilig on GMA’s upcoming romantic comedy series “Heartful Cafe.”

But how did Julie react to David’s video? The two talked about it during a live virtual interview on “Unang Hirit.”

“It has been a pleasure working with Julie [because], first of all, she’s very talented,” said David.

The actor recalled that in 2018, he said if he were given a chance to work with GMA artists, he wanted it to be with Julie. “So, wala lang (just like that), it happened!”

Julie played coy at first, asking David, “talaga ba (really)?” but later came clean and said she had already seen the video.

“I’m also happy [because] I get to work with David and, yeah, I also get to know him as a person as well,” Julie said.

UH hosts Suzy Entrata and Lyn Ching teased Julie about her reaction, asking, “okay naman ba talaga (is it really OK), Julie?”

When the singer-actress responded with a cryptic, “okay naman (it’s OK) ... Ha!?” David pretended to cover his ears. “Parang ayaw ko nang marinig ah (I think I don’t wanna hear this)!” he said.

This made Julie laugh. “Kunwari wala ka na lang dito (just pretend you’re not here), David.”

After showing off her impressive chemistry with David in a quick #ForRealChallenge live on “Unang Hirit,” Julie also performed a song from the “Heartful Café” OST.

“Heartful Café,” starring Julie Anne and David, is set to serve a perfect cup of love this April on GTV.
