Angelina Jolie fights through fire in 'Those Who Wish Me Dead' trailer

After doing children's movies in the past few years, Angelina Jolie is back in the action scene as she fights bad guys amid forest fires in "Those Who Wish Me Dead."

In the trailer released by Warner Bros. on Thursday, Angelina can be seen playing the role of a fire-watcher, who lives in a fire tower above the trees to alert authorities should forest fires start.

Angelina's character witnesses a little boy outrun assassins, tries to help him out, and finds herself battling killers and outrunning wild forest fires.

Based on Michael Koryta's novel of the same name, "Those Who Wish Me Dead" also stars Nicholas Hoult, Finn Little, and Tyler Perry.

The film marks Angelina's return to action and thriller after spending the last few years working on projects like "Kung Fu Panda" and "The One and Only Ivan" and the "Maleficent" franchise.

Directed by Taylor Sheridan, "Those Who Wishe Me Dead" will be released in theaters and on HBO Max on May 14. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
