Bea Alonzo says John Lloyd Cruz joked about them starring in a sitcom

Will Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz be starring in a show together soon?

In an virtual interview with GMA News Online Thursday, Bea shared that she was able to talk to the actor through a Zoom call after her contract signing with GMA Network.

“He was able to say his well-wishes for me. He was supportive. I’m very happy,” she said.

According to Bea, she even joked John Lloyd about guesting on his possible sitcom with the network. John Lloyd’s answer? He wants an episode just for the both of them.

“Biniro niya ako na dapat daw kung mag-guest sa sitcom niya, kaming dalawa lang, walang cast,” she said, adding that she asked director Bobot Mortiz to make it possible.

In June, Willie Revillame revealed he is planning a sitcom for John Lloyd with Andrea Torres.

Later, GMA confirmed that John Lloyd is in talks to star in two GMA shows.

Bea Alonzo officially became a Kapuso on Thursday afternoon.

She is set to star with Alden Richards in a movie inspired by the Japanese series “Pure Soul,” which has been remade into the hit South Korean movie “A Moment to Remember.”

John Lloyd, meanwhile, marked his TV comeback after a four-year hiatus in GMA last month. — LA, GMA News
