Why Jeremiah Tiangco got emotional recording his new single ‘Sa Tuwing Umuulan’
“The Clash” Season 2 winner Jeremiah Tiangco reveals he got emotional as he recorded his new single “Sa Tuwing Umuulan” because it reminded him of his lola and an uncle who've passed away.
During a media conference on Friday, the singer explained that his new song is about precious memories that often comes at you whenever it rains.
“Kumbaga ‘yun ‘yung nagsasabi na ito ‘yung memories namin noong okay pa kami, noong buhay pa siya,” he said.
[It is the one saying that these are our memories whe we were still okay, when they were still alive.]
According to the singer, “Sa Tuwing Umuulan” speaks to a part of him that misses his grandmother and uncle, both of whom he was close to, but who have already passed away.
“Hanggang ngayon ‘pag iniisip ko po sila, mayroon talaga mga questions. Bakit nangyayari sa buhay ng tao? Bakit kailangan mawala ‘yung taong mahal mo?” he said.
He added, “Kaya nung rinecord ko po ito, sobrang heartfelt...May time na teary-eyed po talaga ako.”
[That’s why when I was recording this, it’s really heartfelt...There was a time I got teary-eyed.]
