Mavy Legaspi says Heart Evangelista was his 'funny big sis' on set of 'I Left My Heart in Sorsogon'

For the longest time, Mavy Legaspi thought of Heart Evangelista as the iconic and fabulous style icon we all know her to be.

But after spending time with her on set of their upcoming drama "I Left My Heart in Sorsogon," the 20-year-old actor said the Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaborations exceeded all his expectations.

"Of course, you can only see what's on Instagram," Mavy told GMA News Online in a zoom interview on Monday.

"So when I met [Heart] for the very first time, she beat the odds! She beat all my expectations. She's very down to earth. Very humble."

Mavy said he discovered many things about Heart during their lock-in taping, but what surprised him the most was how "funny" she could be.

"It was a very fun experience because I felt na I really found a big sister during my lock-in taping," he said.

In fact, Mavy said he and Heart had nicknames for each other by the time they wrapped up.

"Now I call her 'Big Sis' and then she calls me 'Lil' Bro'," he said.

Mavy and his twin sister Cassy just renewed their contracts with GMA Artist Center on Monday. — LA, GMA News
