Derrick Monasterio hopes to collaborate anew with Julie Anne San Jose

Derrick Monasterio would like to collaborate again with Julie Anne San Jose for a new song.

The Kapuso actor shared his hopes in an online interview with the press on Wednesday, when asked whom he would like to work with in the future.

"We already made a duet before for the film of Aljur (Abrenica) and Rhian (Ramos). That time, we were young, we're not that mature yet when it comes to our musicality," he said in a mix of English and Filipino.

"We can create something again on what is really our genre. Given the chance, Julie Anne. Looks like it will do well," he added.

Derrick and Julie Anne released "Ang Aking Puso" in 2012 for the movie "My Kontrabida Girl."

Derrick is set to release a new single titled "Virgo" on August 20. Julie Anne, meanwhile, is set to hold her first musical trilogy, "Limitless," in September.
