Alden Richards, David Licauco and more Kapuso stars win big at 36th PMPC Star Awards
Several Kapuso stars won prestigious prizes at the recently held Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards.
Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards was named Best Actor for his outstanding performance in “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”
Alden also bagged Movie Loveteam of the Year for “Hello, Love, Goodbye” together with his on-screen partner, Kathryn Bernardo.
Meanwhile, veteran actor Ricky Davao bagged the award for Supporting Actor of the Year for his memorable role in “Fuccbois.”
Chinito Heartthrob David Licauco and beauty queen-host Michelle Dee also made GMA proud after winning New Movie Actor and New Movie Actress of the Year for “Because I Love You.”
The 36th edition of the PMPC Star Awards was held virtually on livestream for safety reasons amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alden gave a quick thank you message to all his fans and the team behind "Hello, Love, Goodbye."
“Maraming-maraming salamat po dahil tinangkilik niyo po ang aming pelikula, that it made history and sa lahat po ng mga nakasama ko sa film, especially Direk Cathy, and sa lahat ng cast,” Alden said in his acceptance speech..
David, on the other hand, said it all just felt "so surreal."
"This will just make me improve on my craft and do well," he said.
